Multimeter? IR camera? And other assistance
Tracy Wallace
Good afternoon!
Green Careers Dallas needs to finish testing some donated panels (thanks to Michael Fladmark). We’ve tested about 12 of 31 panels. The weather isn’t cooperating for the weekend when our trainers might be available to bring their equipment. This Thursday (noon or 3 p.m.) and Friday (11:30) are sunny as is next Thursday (between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.), and I am wondering if any of you have a multimeter and/or IR camera you are willing to bring or loan to test the remainder of these. I will have to find some muscle to move these panels around—I can’t lift them.
Secondly, our next training and the first on our training rooftop, is scheduled for March 17 & 18. We need to build at least 3 more practice pieces as shown in the attached photo. Would any of you like to work on this with us? If so, we’ll come up with a Saturday to work on these.
Many, many thanks! Tracy

Wonderful! Do any of those days/times work for you? If so, I'll work to get some volunteers that can move them.

I do Physical Therapy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday Thursday and Tuesday are usually free if I do not have a doctor appointment. Next week looks OK. How you check the panels. Do you measure short circuit current and then open no load voltage. How is the IR camera used. I guess short the panel and see if any cells are getting hotter than adjacent cells.
